healthy hair

It has been just over a year since I gave birth to my daughter and I was starting to fear that my hair would never be the same! During pregnancy, my hair grew like a weed and was strong and shiny. Just a couple months after her arrival, it began falling out- quickly- and it didn’t look like it had plans to return any time soon. So I did some research and put some ideas to the test and thankfully my hair is making me happy again! Here are 10 easy ways to get healthy hair without drastic measures. Some of these tips should be simple reminders, but some could make all the difference on the health of those pretty little locks of yours!

Top 10 EASY Ways to Get Healthy Hair

  1. Do not brush your hair while wet- it can lead to breakage.
  2. After conditioning, rinse your hair with cold water to cut down on frizz.
  3. It is best to brush your hair with a soft-bristle brush or wide-toothed comb. Less pulling and more flexibility causes less damage to your hair.
  4. Do not wash your hair every day- you need the natural moisturizing oils your body produces. (It is still ok to shower everyday!) If you think your hair is too greasy NOT to wash it daily, try it for two weeks. You might be surprised how your body will train your hair to produce less oil.
  5. Do not pull your hair back into a tight ponytail or bun every day- this will cause breakage. If you need it out of your face, use bobby pins or a big clip- something that isn’t as constricting as a rubber band or hair tie.
  6. Massage your scalp everyday for 5 minutes to promote growth.
  7. Get frequent trims (every six to eight weeks) to prevent your hair from drying out.
  8. Keep yourself healthy from the inside out- eat healthy, drink plenty of water, rid the stress, and quit smoking. (Easier said than done, right?!)
  9. Ditch the heat. Avoid the blow dryer, curling iron and straightener as much as you can! Air drying is best.
  10. Take supplements to strengthen and promote growth to your hair. Fish Oil can help add moisture and shine, but you might want to consider taking a natural vitamin, such as Hairfinity- have you heard of it?

Hairfinity Hair Vitamins is a natural vitamin complex that restores those missing nutrients to encourage hair growth and make hair shinier, thicker and longer. I just started using this product, but take a look at some of these Before & After results from users on the the Hairfinity website:

A couple months ago, I was sent a 90-day supply of Hairfinity and I am so anxious to give it a try now that I am officially not nursing my daughter anymore. I’ll post my own before and after pictures on Instagram, so be sure to follow me!

DO you have any simple tips to make your hair look amazing? I’d love to hear about it!
